Melissa got her glam on!

When I shot Shayla's wedding, I met her oh so fab stylist Melanie Pace. She's not only a stylist, but a personal shopper and has styled many magazine editorial spreads. She was needing some updated portfolio pieces for her website, so I was of course thrilled to shoot those photos for her!

Turns out our model, Melissa, just graduated from high school, so it was awesome to give her some hot Senior shots as well! While most girls are heading to college after graduation, Melissa is heading to China on Sunday because she got signed by a modeling agency overseas and will be rockin' that. She was such a natural and I'm sure one day I'll be able to say I was one of the first to get my camera on her!

The Florida Bride's Blog

In getting to know my bride Danielle in the wedding planning process, I could just tell how much fun she was having planning her wedding and that she would one day dive into the industry. Emily & Ryan are married!

When I think about Emily and Ryan's wedding, I just think God is good.

When she first emailed me about shooting her wedding, she shared her heart for her future father-in-law, who is battling cancer, and how important it was for her and Ryan to have Ryan's dad there at the wedding. My heart of course felt strongly for their situation, and Emily was so gracious to reach out and pray for my dad too. I truly love getting to know my brides and praying for them, and what a beautiful honor it is to not only be their wedding photographer, but their new friend too.

It was so great to celebrate with Emily and Ryan that Ryan's dad was able to be at the ceremony. They had a small intimate gathering on the driftwood beach on Jekyll Island, Ga. and we shot a romantic trash the dress session following the ceremony. In a follow up email after I posted some teaser shots, I love how Emily said:

" Ryan and I are uncomfortable in front of the camera and terrible at taking nice pictures. Somehow, you were able to make us come out of our shells and we really opened up and you helped us take what we know will be sexy and romantic and fun pictures of our wedding! We loved how you made us feel like supermodels!"

LOL, you could never tell they were terrible at taking at pictures! They so rocked it! :-)

Theresa spent a day with me in California!

During my last trip to California, in between shooting an engagement session in Pacific Grove and spending time with my love, Southern California photographer Theresa came up to Carmel to spend a day with me and do an amazing Bridal Glam photoshoot together in the gorgeous Point Lobos state park. Theresa is actually from Georgia originally, so it was awesome to hear another Southern accent on the West Coast. Her hubby Cris tagged along to take video footage of us for a promo video for Theresa. You gotta check out the video he put together from his 5D Mark II! It's got some amazing footage of how stinkin' beautiful Cali is!
